It doesn't meet the standards of a Quality Inn! My bed had dirty sheets on it. The bathroom floor was dirty with hair on the floor. No management around on
the grounds to speak with about the issues. It is very pricey for the quality!
On our way to winter in Florida this year we stopped at the Calera, Al quality inn. We have been rewards members for a very long time. We went into room and my husband practically dove on the bed and fell asleep. Unfortunately I did not do that. We asked for a pet free room and there definitely had been animals in the room. Also to say it was not clean was a gross understatement. The ceiling fan had dark visible hanging dirt on it. Between the smell and the dirt needless to say I did not sleep and at 2:30 a.m. took a shower (checked the towels and tub) and made enough noise to wake my husband so we could leave. When I contacted the quality inn they offered me additional points but no promise that they would see that that the inn was cleaned and perhaps updated. shame on the quality inn in calera, al and the entire organization.
I consider the place an average hotel with decent rooms, heating, and Wi-Fi. What hurts the place is the Cable, provided food, and benefits. Overall, the place is okay for anyone staying overnight.
Very nice people. The rooms needed a great deal of cleaning. Found a lot of hair on the bed box springs. Urine stains around the commode that I cleaned up. The in room refrigerator needs to be cleaned. General appearance is ok but housekeeping needs to be addressed.
Convenient to the interstate, yet very quiet. Basic necessities with comfortable beds. Blackout curtains that really keep the room dark. High speed internet easy to connect and had good service. Sydney (front desk) was fabulous. He took care of needs in a very efficient manner and he was very helpful about restaurants in the area. I would stay again while traveling through Birmingham.
