I walked into the post office and was not greeted by either of the two females sitting behind the counter. One female offered to assist me while the second female continued to talk to her as though I didn’t need to speak or ask for anything additional. After feeling entirely disrespected and unwelcome I walked out of the door without receiving a “Thank you”. An act of kindness or gratitude doesn’t cost anything. They’re so many people who are wishing they could get a job.
Dont bother putting a hold request in... IF and thats a big IF they honor it, they refuse to read the notes section that CUSTOMER WILL PICK UP. If I wanted it left in my box I wouldnt have put a hold on it in the 1st place!!
The guy at the counter (Justin) was incredibly rude. First, I stood there several minutes waiting on someone to ring me up and mail my package. Then he finally comes in, grabs my package, slaps it on the counter, starts furiously pressing buttons and going through everything without actually asking me the questions. I guess he magically knew that nothing was fragile (he never asked), slapped a sticker on the package and threw it down in the back. If you're going to act like customers are an inconvenience, go find a different job. And don't toss my package around, acting all indignant and irritated. Wow.
This post office is awful. I have nothing but problems out of them and my mail lady. Waiting on a package to be delivered? Don't even because she won't even attempt to get it to you! Literally stood in my driveway and watched her pull up and stick a notice in the box took not even a second so she already had it written before she got to my box. Very poor customer service. Wish I could use another branch. Completely fed up and tired of fighting for my mail. So disappointing. What would be a federal crime to others obviously doesn't apply to calera post office.
I have been using this post office for over 20 years. The ladies behind the counter are friendly and very helpful. Of course I have learned in life. If you are nice and friendly to other people. They usually respond back the same way. Not one time living in Calera for over 30 years can I remember having any issue. I am in there 1 to 5 times a week mailing packages. So, that says a lot.
